Angus Sires

We purchased PowerPoint in 2020 as a true yearling. He has seen limited as a backup sire for our handful of Angus cows and heifers. He has completely outgrown our expectations and has developed into one of the best Angus sires I have seen. He has exceptional depth of body, length and perfect structure. A superior top line and a real sires head. Well balanced Breedplan tops of this true stud sire as well as his great maternal background. He may be the best S PowerPoint son. He will be used heavily this year and be used AI over commercial heifers.

We opted to use the US bull Dignity as he is a grandson of the Stella bull. We have been impressed with them as a group and will have a good number next year. They have good scale and structural integrity with good muscle shape, as well as impressive EMA. The daughters are very impressive. Tom visited Sitz ranch last year and was impressed with the Dignity progeny. There was a big Dignity group in the Sitz sale this year.

We saw Rembrandt and decided to use him in our ET programme. A good decision, as the bulls are fantastic and just like him. I like his depth and thickness. A real beef bull. We had good success with Paratrooper, and R48 allowed the impressive N60 cow into our herd. His data set is very handy as well.

We liked the outcross with Right Time. Tom saw him and his progeny in the US. He was impressed with the Spicklers programme. Bulls are thick and deep and easily usable. We see them as good all-around bulls.

We purchased Thumper as a yearling and we have used him for 3 joining. Super calving ease coupled with superior rear end and EMA. He has grown into an impressive bull. He will be offered this year as a mature sire as well as calves at foot by him on Baldie females and a run of PTIC heifers in calf to him.
